11a3 Kang Dongho (101002) ; writing an essay (compare and contrast the knowledge)

People learn something from many places. These places can be divided into two groups: classroom and daily life. Knowledge gained from classroom instruction and from personal experience have both similarity and difference.
Knowledge gained from school and knowledge obtained from personal life have something in common; they are both fundamentally knowledge themselves. People use both kinds of knowledge in order to make their lives better and more convenient. For example, I have learned the law of evaporation in middle school. The law of evaporation told me that liquid absorbs heat from adjacent materials to become gas. Moreover, I knew that water makes my yard cooler when it was spilled on the asphalt road around my yard in summer through my experience. Thus, this two information both mentions me to use water or alcohol to make something cooler in summer. Hence, we can conclude that the knowledge both earned from classroom instruction and personal experience makes our lives better.
On the other hand, these two kinds of knowledge have something different. Knowledge obtained from classroom instruction is usually academic and professional. Most of this knowledge is going to be applied in professional field. For instance, my father learned applied dynamics in his college. He uses what he learned in college to design buildings or dams in order to make them safer and more functional. However, knowledge from personal experience is often used in daily life. For example, when I was seven, I did not realize that I should have not shouted in public places. One day, I cried a lot in order to ask for the impossible to my mother in a bank. However, my mother just hit my butt instead of buying a new toy-car. Through this experience, I learned that I should not make huge noise in public places. I still keep this etiquette. Consequently, it can be stated that the target of the application of knowledge obtained from classroom instruction and from daily experience are different each other.
All these given things considered, knowledge gained from school and from personal experience have both similarity and difference. Even though they are both knowledge themselves, their objects of application are pretty different.
